Principio - I.G.T Maremma Toscana Rosso
Appellation: IGT Maremma Toscana Rosso
Grapes: 100 % Ciliegiolo (local variety, whose name reminds Italian word “ciliegia”, or cherry)
Vineyard: 2 ha of 40 yrs old vines, nearby the town of Manciano, 300 m above the sea level.
Wine: Ciliegiolo, [chil-ee-eh-jol-oh] may be a mouthful to pronounce, but ignore that and get straight to the wine. It's a local Maremma variety, little known, used in this knock-out wine made by Antonio, our winery manager. It's got explosive freshness, gorgeous colour and masses of cherry and ripe fruit..
13.000 bottles produced with the 2007 harvest
