Grapes: Sangiovese 85% - Ciliegiolo 10% - Alicante 5%
Vines: grapes from newly planted, high-density vines (6000 plants per hectare), situated approximately 6 km from the coast in Maremma, Tuscany.
Vinification: maceration within two weeks, temperature controlled fermentation. Maturation in vats for approx. 4 months, (3/4 in steel vats, 1/4 in cement vats).
This is a superb quality wine, perfect for every day, informal drinking, fantastic for parties, middle-of-the-week suppers at home or in a nice little eatery, or by the glass over lunch. The cherry fruit, so typical of Maremma's Sangiovese, is up- front, the wine is fresh and crisp, with a solid structure and body that act as the final touches for a wine that so perfectly typifies this corner of Maremma in Tuscany.
