People

Gianpaolo Paglia is an agronomist, born and bred in Maremma. Justine Keeling is an English marketing manager (Clarck's, Rimmel, British Airways) who moved in Maremma after getting married with Gianpaolo. She is temporarly managing much more than the marketing of Poggio Argentiera: Oliver, Emily e Alex!

Antonio Camillo is the production manager, helped by Daniele Giorgi in the cellar. The accountancy is managed by Tiziana Pellegrini, and the logistics is followed by Catia Carusi. The enologist is Luca D'Attoma.

Production

We started with the Morellino di Scansano, with our succesful Bellamarsilia and Capatosta. In more recent years we are very much interested in developing wines that are the expression of the Maremman terroir in general, and its local varietos, such as:  the Ansonica, the Vermentino, the Alicante. We believe that these varieties are able to make extraordinary and wines that are at the same time full of personality and have great value, such as the Maremmante, the Fonte40 and the Guazza.

Our philosophy is to produce wines that are elegant, powerful and full of character. Terroir is the operative word.
