This is a superb quality wine, perfect for every day, informal drinking, fantastic for parties, middle-of-the-week suppers at home or in a nice little eatery, or by the glass over lunch. The cherry fruit, so typical of Maremma's Sangiovese, is up- front, the wine is fresh and crisp, with a solid structure and body that act as the final touches for a wine that so perfectly typifies this corner of Maremma in Tuscany. Q:Who does this wine remind you of?A:You, when you've had a good day. |

| Capatosta - Morellino di Scansano DOC |
| Sangiovese 95%, Alicante 5% |
|
The winery's icon wine, Capatosta is a glorious interpretation of Maremma's terroir. To rich Sangiovese, the hot toast of Tuscan wine-making, we add a spread of Alicante, a traditional jammy variety. The result: smooth, elegant and concentrated, and with an additional touch of style and solid structure. A real Maremma thoroughbred. This wine thinks it is: Sean Connery...with Richard Burton's voice. |

| Finisterre - Maremma Toscana Rosso IGT |
| Alicante 30%, Syrah 30%, Cabernet Franc 40% |
|
Finisterre is a blend of Alicante and Syrah, showing notes of liquorice, chocolate and olive oil tomatoes, and the Cabernet franc gives even more complexity and elegance to this all Maremman powerhouse wine. This is wonderfully drinkable wine, with a bold structure, superb freshness and intriguing, graceful complexity. This wine thinks it is: Winston Churchill. |

| Maremmante - Maremma Toscana Rosso IGT |
| Alicante 50%, Syrah 50% |
|
A newborn but with mighty cry! Already a sell-out success, this is a wine to fall in love with. Its sheer simplicity makes its character strong, an asset that comes from a blend of Alicante (grown in Maremma since the year dot, or more precisely, since the times of Stato dei Presidi, go on, click, learn something new today), and Syrah. A real Mediterranean wine, with dark scents of chocolate and liquorice. Perfect wine for...everything. Q: Who does this wine remind you of? |

| Lalicante - Vino da Tavola Passito (Dessert wine) |
| Alicante 100% |
|
The wine is 100% Alicante, a variety typical to many local vineyards, (together with Sangiovese). Traditionally, these two grapes are blended to make Morellino di Scansano (at least 85% Sangiovese). Here, we have taken Alicante on its own and put it centre-stage, where it can show off notes of elderflower, sun-dried tomato, liquorice, chocolate and spices, finely woven tannins and a fascinating inky colour. Drink it with chocolate or strong cheese to discover its personality at its best. This is a very labour-intensive, hand-made wine and so very few bottles are made. This rare wine is only for those seeking something very special indeed. The secret ingredient? We add a few drops of distilled Aretha Franklin's voice. |

| Guazza - Maremma Toscana Bianco IGT Vermentino |
| Vermentino 100% |
|
The wine shows great fruit, with characteristics typical of Mediterranean Vermentino and Ansonica, with flashes of peach and wild flowers. This is Maremma in its natural and unspoilt state, free from the influences of wood or international varieties. The wine is fresh and crisp and ready to enjoy now, yet it promises to evolve well in the bottle.All it's missing is a sarong. |

| Fonte40 - Maremma Toscana Bianco IGT | |||||
| Ansonica 50%, Vermentino 50% | |||||
|
Tuscany’s Maremma can offer great white wines too. This wine has the typical mediterranean character of Ansonica (also known as Inzolia) and Vermentino, and the exoticness of Fiano. It’s a medium to full bodied wine, fresh and mineraly, due to the position of the vineyards to the North and the stoney soil in which they grow. This is a wine that can be kept in bottle for years. But why would you? | |||||

| Principio - Maremma Toscana Rosso IGT |
| Ciliegiolo 100 % |
|
Ciliegiolo, [chil-ee-eh-jol-oh] may be a mouthful to pronounce, but ignore that and get straight to the wine. It's a local Maremma variety, little known, used in this knock-out wine made by Antonio, our winery manager. It's got explosive freshness, gorgeous colour and masses of cherry and ripe fruit. |

| Alture - Maremma Toscana Bianco IGT |
| Sauvignon 100 % |
|
We know that it's ambitious, to make a 100 % Sauvignon blanc wine in Maremma, but by Giorgio, we think we've got it.Thanks to the location, high in the Maremma hills (500 m above the sea level), we could keep the wine with its typical fresh crispness, framing its flavours of citrus and pink grapefruit. |

Italian
Bellamarsilia

Antonio Camillo has worked at Poggio Argentiera for nearly 10 years, and continues to do so today even though he realised his dream of becoming a wine producer after many years of making wine for others. We started this joint-venture together, Antonio and us, with the lease of nearly abandoned vines from old vineyards located not far from Antonio's home village in the area between Manciano and Pitigliano, the so called "Alta Maremma"This really is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt terroirs of Maremma, overlooking the sea at an altitude between 300-550 m above sea level. From this project we have started to make two wines that, we believe, can be very representative of this magnificent area.
